WDCS – ADOPT A DOLPHIN

CHOICE OF 7 DOLPHINS / MINIMUM DONATION – £4 A MONTH

DOLPHINS ARE AMAZING – BUT THEY DESPERATELY NEED OUR PROTECTION.

With your support, WDCS works to:

  • Prevent suffering in individual whales, dolphins and porpoises, whether in their natural environment or in captivity.
  • Stop the deliberate killing of whales and dolphins for commercial and so-called ‘scientific’ purposes.
  • Stop whales and dolphins falling victim to man-made threats such as pollution or entanglement in fishing nets.
  • Prevent the extinction of endangered species and promote the recovery of all whale and dolphin populations.
  • Secure adequate protection for – and maintain the health of – all whale and dolphin habitats.
  • Promote a worldwide interest in whales and dolphins.

Several populations of bottlenose dolphins live off the coast of the UK and WDCS is trying to save them from the threats of fishing nets and pollution.

You can help WDCS save these intelligent, special creatures by  ADOPTING A DOLPHIN for yourself or as a gift for someone special:

MOONLIGHT – an adult female dolphin who has a calf called Mellow Yellow

RAINBOW – a playful female who seems to cheer the other dolphins

NEVIS - a male and a fast swimmer who likes to chase after salmon

SUNDANCE - a social male dolphin who is often seen splashing and leaping with others

SPIRIT - a gentle dolphin who is devoted to her calf

MISCHIEFa very friendly dolphin always in a party mood

THUNDER – a big, powerful adult male with a very laid back and relaxed character

The WDCS ADOPT A DOLPHIN programme means we can work together to protect dolphins from the threat of hunting, fishing nets, pollution and much more. For just £4 a month you can adopt one of these bottlenose dolphins that live in Scotland’s Moray Firth. These wild dolphins are endangered but with your help WDCS can continue its vital conservation and research projects to try to ensure they survive.
